Editor's Comments
Comments: Still very early in the season with lots of varied meets/distances run. I do believe that Dean Rusk is the team to beat in the Large School race. They are the only team of either gender to beat Great Strides this season (at Pickens). Marist came out very strong, but they competed at a very small meet, that their top runners didn’t have anyone to compete against, nor do we have good comparisons. Pace, on paper, looks like a seriously competitive team, but they have not run yet. The next few weeks will sort it out as the compact middle school schedule means most teams run every week. Other teams to watch at this point: Dawson, Renfroe, Lakeside, and West Laurens.
