New Team Champs Crowned in 7A

Girls

Campbell took control of finals early winning the 4x100 in 46.13, sweeping the 400m behind MeKenze Kelley in 53.65 and Ashton Lindley 2nd at 54.71. Picked up points in the 100m with Jaleah Alston placing  5th, Zionn Rice  was runnerup in the 100h (14.63), Kelley was runnerup in the 200m at 24.10 with Alston taking 4th. Lindley had a blistering 41.46 time taking Gold in the 300h and team mate Raina Perry hurdled to Bronze at 43.70  The Spartans never let up coming from behind on the final lap of the 4x400 taking another win going 3:45.27 amassing a grand total of 112 points. Rounding out the top 4 team spots were Marietta HS taking home the 2nd place Cup with 62, Walton 56 and Westlake 47.

Brynne Sumner of Woodstock won her 2nd Gold of the meet in the 800m clocking a 2:09.89

Campbell closed out the meet like a champ taking Gold in the 4x400 at 3:45.27

Boys


Shiloh's boys sped to their first Track and Fild state title in school history this Saturday scoring 66 points. The Generals came into finals having only 10 points, but struck Silver in the 4x100 relay clocking a 41.98. Elijah Berry rang up 6 points in the 400m at 47.40, Dakota Thomas added a 4th place finish in the 110h (14.40), and Berry hit his groove in the 800m race taking Gold in a time of 1:56.41  The Generals added 9 points in the 200m behind Omar Simpson's 3rd place finish at 21.82 and Paryce Taylor finishing 6th. The title was clinched after the 800m, but Shiloh finished strong winning the 4x400 witha blazing time of 3:13.28  Rouding out the top 4 team Podium spots were Peachtree Ridge with 42.75, Hillgrove 41 and East Coweta 39

Nicholas Ramey of Brookwood raced to the win in the 400m at 47.19

Ja' Leak Perry of McEachern took advantage of the top 2 seeds getting simultaneous false starts, and stole Gold winning with a time of 10.64 getting some redemption from his 'false start' at Sectionals in the 200m

In a very tight race Myles Marshall of Lassiter (L) took the win going 13.75

Elijah Berry's 400m speed proved fatal to the field in the 800m winning in 1:56.41

Kibren Moore of Pebblebrook redeemed himself after a false start earlier in the 100m race taking 200m Gold at 21.56

Joshua Stradford of McEachern took advantage of a spill on the final hurdle by Marshall to claim the 300h win in a time of 37.71

Shiloh closed out the 7A Boys team title by winning the 4x400 going 3:13.28
