Day two in San Diego started with breakfast and an early morning walk on the beach. It was so beautiful.

After breakfast, we boarded a bus to Balboa Park to check out the race course. We practiced our introduction run and heard advice about the course before going for a run. While on the course I saw Olympian and Boston Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi. It is true, that the famous Hill on the Footlocker National course is extremely steep and will be a tough challenge for all the runners. We took several practice laps with our New Balance coaches so I feel well prepared for the race on Saturday.

After the practice session, we went back to the hotel for a great lunch. Afterwards, I went to the open house with the New Balance designers. They showed us some new footwear and apparel. Later, I had some free time which I spent chilling at the swimming pool and hot tub with my parents. The last event of the day was a pasta buffet dinner, followed by a game where we had to guess the which funny story matched the pro athlete. The west boys team was really funny, even though they lost!
