Girls 7A Rankings
Using a combination of the current virtual meet, top three returning state runners per team, and returning 3200m rankings the pre-season rankings for 7A girls are as follows:
1. South Forsyth
2. Milton
3. Walton
4. Marietta
5. Brookwood
6. Hillgrove
7. Mill Creek
8. West Forsyth
9. Lambert
10. North Gwinnett
It's no surprise to say freshman are going to be a huge factor on the girls side. There is no doubt the week one rankings after Labor Day weekend could look a lot different. Good luck to all squads in making a statement this August.
Boys 7A Rankings
Using a combination of current virtual meet, top three returning state runners per team, and returning 3200m rankings the pre-season rankings for 7A boys are as follows:
1. Lambert
2. Milton
3. Walton
4. West Forsyth
5. Parkview
6. Brookwood
7. Collins Hill
8. South Forsyth
9. Hillgrove
10. Peachtree Ridge
Consider the following: In a state race where almost half of the top 100 runners were seniors, Lambert only had one. However, Milton is in a similar scenario right behind them. The rest of the contenders are a ways back. We will see if August can shake things up but for now it looks like a two team battle for the top spot.
