AAA Girls 1600- Not much drama in this race, as Naima Turbes took off early and held it to the wire taking the AAA 1600 clocking a 5:02.35. Abby Kettle of GAC placed 2nd at 5:06.80.
AAA Boys 3200- It was an extremely competitive race in AAA Boys. Defending Champ, Chase Kennedy was pushed the entire race by Will Wallace and Peter Huff of Westminster and a darkhorse challenger. Kennedy prevailed though, adding state title to his resume with a 9:40.45
AA Girls 1600- It was a 3 girl race much of the way, with Alex Quarles of Model outsprinting Rebecca Chandler of Berrien County and Alina Jablonski of Monticello finishing just behind her. Quarles winning time was 5:33.86.
A Public Girls 1600- Alli Hay from Pataula Charter took the race out hard and Gracie O'Neil of Gordon Lee tagged along for fast lap 1 split of 1:15. The duo stretched out a 30m lead over Katie Massey of Commerce now in 3rd. Hay made a move with 150 left, swinging wide taking the lead, but Hay fought back, regained the lead, but took a hard spill about 30m from the finish. O'Neil cruised in for the win at 5:20, but Hay jumped up quickly, finishing 2nd at 5:25.
A Public Boys 3200- Hunter Kimball of Georgia Military made it look too easy posting a 9:43 for the win. Team mate, Aaron Kirkland made it a 1,2 sweep at 10:37.
