Nike Panther Relays ReCap

It was a great 2 days of Track and Field action this weekend at the Nike Panther Relays in which there were clearly some outstanding performances across all classifications as 77 performances met the MileSplit US Second Team standard. Friday night was windy and chilly, but by noon Saturday it was a beautiful early Spring-like day.

For the Girls, it was a great competition for the team title as 4 schools were separated by a point spread of 6 points. Alexander came out on top by less than 3 points over meet host Starrs Mill. The Cougars did it by winning 5 relays, including the 4x200, 4x400, 4x800, 4x1600, 800 SMR, while placing 3rd in the 4x100. Arabia Mountain placed 3rd with Shiloh a half point back.

 On the Boys side teamwise, Archer continued to roll adding another team trophy to their display case scoring 86.5 points besting Arabia Mountain by 15.5, while Alexander placed 3rd with Shiloh claiming 4th overall.  Distance ace James Cragin had a nice meet winning a very competitive 3200m Friday nite, followed by a 2nd place finish in the 1600m Saturday. Daniel Surman had a bar of 14-0 taking the PV,  Samuel Brown took 2nd in the HJ,  Archer took 2nd in the 4x800 and 3rd in the DMR.
