Wesleyan only won 2 Golds Saturday, but they were very timely. Coming in the 300h as Clay Patrick took first in 38.59 and the deciding final race, as Vidalia still had a chance at overtaking them, but it was academic as the Wolves raced to the Gold in the 4x400 clinching their first ever GHSA State Track title in school history. Also having a hand were Jason McClesky (3rd/300h, 6th/110h), 4x100 squad placed 4th, and Patrick raced to a Bronze in the 400m at 49.64 as well as being anchorman on the winning 4x400 squad.
Clay Patrick had a super day for the Wolves come to a perfect ending as he held off Holy Innocents and Vidalia for 4x400 team Gold.
Patrick also hurdled to 300 Gold for the Wolves.
