Eastside has come a long way since 2015 where they finished 7th, and on paper appear headed to a 4A State title. They don't have many scoring opps, but they events they are in could produce more than enough points for a championship. Leading the Eagles' chances are Ratayvius Jackson (jumps), Eric Stokes in the 100/200, Jovan Brown (300h) and their swift relay squads. Defending champ Sandy Creek is back and will be waiting for a mistake or 2 led by Michael Jones in the hurdles, Kory Banks in the 100/200 and their relays. Marist as always is strong in distance, and Frank Pittman has ran a 4:08 1600 this Spring. Freshman Leif Anderson is #1 in his class in the 1600/3200 and Brian Faust is a threat in the 800m. Grady may slide into that top 4 behind hurdler Christian McNair-Jones who may double in his events, Jaquez Sloan could score big in the TJ and watch out for relays.
