Carrollton Ortho Invitational Preview

Everyone should be pumped up to race at the State Meet Course this coming Saturday, as 62 teams and 1772 athletes have registered to race. Its difficult to know what race the top squads are in, as they are allowed to race up in Class or in the Championship race. The weather is forecast to be outstanding for mid September with temps ranging from 66 at 8am to 71 by noon (Cloudy with a little breeze) Parents and Coaches are encouraged to post galleries after the races on the Meet Page. Even send cover shots of the Race Winners to be utililized in a ReCap with full photo credit to you!

COURSE MAP

Boys-

Once again it is difficult to know if many of the 'Power Squads' will bring it their top 7's without spending hours of perusing the entries (which we have access to) The 'Virtual Meets were based on team's top 5 runners fastest times this season. I know Mill Creek is not bringing Costa, so I assume its they're top JVs and Brookwood is not bringing their top guys...(just discovered) What's a webmaster to do now that the Boys Virtual is erroneous?) St. Pius X is slated to have their top guys race as well as 6A defending Champ Marietta, who it seems will make do without the services of Benson this Fall..The out of state teams (Opelika, Hewitt-Trussville and Leon County FL) look to be bringing their V squads. Etowah is bringing everyone and the kitchen sink. North Oconee is bringing their top 10 to race, as is Flowery Branch, the Angoras from Clarkston will be butting heads for sure. There are so many races that teams can run up in its hard to call or be accurate about. This past week's All-Classes 'ROW' Colton Page from Allatoona is scheduled to race. Oconee County is coming full force as usual, Forsyth Central's top rated 5A squad is slated to appear, 1A top ranked Landmark will be there.

Girls-

Same boat for the Girls races... I know Mill Creek and Brookwood's top Gals are not running, St. Pius X gals are at Marist. It will be very interesting to watch Westminster, as this will be the 1st Invitational of the season as usual. Landmark Christian is coming to protect their ranking against a very fast Hebron Christian squad. Flowery Branch is bringing their top 10 gals. #3 Etowah is coming loaded on the girls side. McIntosh is coming full bore after a victory in FLA last weekend. North Gwinnett's VG are trekking across state. North Oconee is bringing their deep top 10 to compete and Starrs Mill will seek to pass McIntosh in the rankings next week as the VG are coming.
