Varsity and JV ReCaps from at&t Panther Invitational

In the Varsity races Mount De Sales took a surprising team win and Madison Allie from Locust Grove took Individual honors. Carrollton triumphed on the Boys side with Deonte Lee of Ola HS Individual Champ in 17:03.

Varsity Girls- A Private school Mount De Sales showed they were a top 10 A squad by winning the Varsity Girls race with a 23:03 team avg placing 2 in the top 10 including Jr Faith Siror in 4th overall at 21:10 and veteran Jessy Tallant 8th (21:49) Madison Allie tore it up for Locust Grove leading them to a 2nd place team finish winning the race in 20:26. Rounding out the top 3 Individuals were Sabria Wooten of New Manchester (20:39) and Pauline Cobb from OLM 3rd (20:49)

Varsity Boys- Deonte Lee of Ola HS flirted with going sub 17: winning the Individual Boys Varsity race in 17:00.52. Will Hatchett from Habersham Central endured a long bus ride from Cornelia, taking 2nd overall in 17:14. Sophomore Donald Sener from Carrollton led the improved Trojans to the team title taking 3rd place at 17:18. Rounding out the top 5 were Robert Pelland of Duluth (17:35) and Khali Madison from Fayett County (17:36). Duluth was a close 2nd as a team 7 points in back of Carrollton and Locust Grove 3rd.

JV Boys- Brookwood and Auburn dominated this race as the Broncos scored 22 and Auburn 40. Three runners went sub 18: including race winner Thomas Ridley (17:38 ) and William Ridley (17:47) from Brookwood and Lane Galloway from Auburn (17:57)

JV Girls- In what is becoming common place JV Girls races, another 8th grader was the Overall winner. Faith Bobak from Wildwood Christian Academy showed she can excel in a 5K race as well clocking a super 20:08. 8th grader Megan Dobso of Fayette was 2nd (21:45) and Grace Lynch of Brookwood 3rd (22:27) leading the Lady Broncs to an ez team win.
