Varsity Boys 1600m featured (left to right) Evan Strickland of Galloway 5th, Nasir Campbell of Paideia 4th, Austin Taylor of Landmark 3rd, Griffin McCauley of Paideia 2nd, and winner, Spencer Fields of Darlington.
Darlington Senior Spencer Fields schooled Paideia Frosh Griffin McCauley in the 1600m. Fields ran a respectable 4:41.75 Rust Buster under windy conditions.
In the Varsity Boys 800m, the Paideia duo of Griffin McCauley and Nasir Campbell worked together to overtake Joshua Cobb of Landmark, Andrew Awbrey of Trinity Christian-Sharpsburg, and Landmark's Taylor Snyder.
Jordan Boyd and team mate Rachel Morley sailed to the top two spots in the Girls 300m Hurdles.
The Landmark Girl's Hurdling Team is comprised of (left to right) Syney Hahn, Jordan Boyd 2nd (100m and 300m), and winner Rachel Morley (100m and 300m).
Top Seed McKenna Taylor of Hebron Christian led Paideia sixth grader Caroline Pickel for over half of the Middle School Girls 3200m. Pickel then made her move and took the win in her first track meet, ever.
Serena Tripodi of Lovett bided her time and then powered to the wins in both the 1600m and 3200m Runs. Here, Tripodi leads runner-up Nicole Fegans of Landmark in the closing laps of the 3200m.
Spencer Fields and Austin Taylor led the combined 3200m High School & Middle School 27 runner field. Colton Wooster of Landmark, Elijah McCauley of Paideia, and Julian Pilgrim of Bleckley Co. took the top three spots in the Middle School division.
As the sun set on a terrific day of jumping, throwing, and racing, Kathryn Foreman received the baton from Little Sister Sarah. The Landmark Girls 4x400 Team took the win ahead of Darlington, Drew Charter Senior Academy, and Trinity Christian-Sharpsburg.
