          ​This region definitely had some of the most competitive and intense racing this post-season and the Varsity Girls race provided individual duels, team battles separating the top 2 squads by 4 points. Lindsay Billings of Northview and Savannah Carnahan gapped the chase pack having quite a duel for awhile with Billings finally separating winning the overall race in 17:53 w/ Carnahan pulling in 2nd at 18:04..South put girls in the top 10 spots with Kaylee Dupont racing to 3rd place in 18:39, Milicent Bergey 5th (19:38) Northview also had 3 in the top 10 including Billings, Anna Barefield 6th (19:41) and Sarika Temme-Bapat 8th (19:56) West Forsyth q'd to move on placing 3rd led by Liz Galarza's 4th place effort in 19:02. Centennial bested Johns Creek by a single point breaking the Gladiators' hearts.

                      Lambert's Jonathan Schwind seemed to enjoy the freezing wind winning the Individual title over Ryan Peppenhorst by .81 (both 16:31 and change)
 
In the Boys race West Forsyth and South Forsyth had incredible races as each runner in the top 5 was having to battle his counterpart till the end with West's 5th man beating South's by 5 points providing a 4 point margin of victory. West Forsyth also placed 4 runners in the top 9 which was key. Junior John Green led the attack placing 3rd in 16:46 with  seniors Daniel Sexton 6th and Brian Skoglind 8th. Lambert's Jonathan Schwind led Lambert to a 3rd place team finish running like the wind earning the Individual title in 16:31 just outleaning South Forsyth's Ryan Peppenhorst by a nose (.81) Cole Matthews from Northview took 4th in 16:55 helping the Titans advane to the next round.
