MS Girls ROY Haley Hooper of Lovett #934 gives 100% thru the Finish line earning MS Girls ROY.
Haley Hooper ripped the Bleckley Elementary Course blazing to a 12:04 and could have won any of the 'Class Races' by 75-100 meters. As far as one can tell from the database this could be just her 2nd year of running Cross Country. In 2013 she placed 10th in the large School race posting a 13:12 (same exact course)making her performance last Saturday an improvement of 1:04. This year she ran 12:02 at Darlington on 9/27 (course record), an unofficial 11:46 at Wesleyan on 10/1, and 12:38 at Marist on 10/8 (course record). Then of course she ran 12:04.10 last Saturday setting a course record by 9 seconds and winning first place by 43 seconds. She's very excited about the progress she's made this year and is eager to see what else she can do. She's a great athlete but also an incredibly hard worker. She's also an excellent teammate and leader! Congrats to Haley and I'm sure the Upper School at Lovett can't wait for her to join their top ranked 2A Varsity Squad! Congrats to Haley!
