Shiloh Dominates Winning the 6A Team Title
Shiloh HS won their first Track title on Saturday afternoon clinching their title early behind the legs of speedy Jeremy McDuffie as he won 4 gold medals leading the Generals march to the Podium. Every team member contributed to the team title for Shiloh.
The 6A 4x100m relay was the fastest of the day (overall) as 6 squads went sub .42 including Shiloh as the Generals began to pile up the points winning in 41.32 as Noah Rhymer carries the baton across the finish line.
The 400 meter race came down to Precision Time) thousands of a second as Norcross' Nathan Strother outleaned Shiloh's Grant Swinton taking the Gold by .006 posting a 47.363
Travis Collins from Archer HS (far right) surged late overtaking Pollard (Westlake) and Lawrence Crawford from Rockdale County winning the 100 meters in 10:57..
Shiloh's Jeremy McDuffie wins the first of his Hurdles races going 13.83 besting a challenge from Daniel Roberts from Luella in 13.92.
6A also boasted the fastest 800 meter competition as the race came down to the wire. Josh Ingalls from Brookwood led nearly the entire race until North Gwinnett's Jeramey Hampton caught him at the line winning in 1:51.84 to 1:51.86 for Ingalls. Bryan Kamau of Shiloh was close behind in 1:52.52 for 3rd place.
Lawrence Crawford of Rockdale County slungshot around the curve in the 200 meters and raced to a Gold medal beating Shiloh's Grant Swinton clocking a swift 21.23 to Swinton's 21.43.
McDuffie from Shiloh and Grayson's Christian Smith both hit the final hurdle, but Jeremy held on winning yet another Gold in a time of 37.57 with David Collins of Campbell taking 2nd in 37.74
Westlake closed out the 2014 Georgia Olymics by winning a very competitive 4x400m race clocking the fastest time of the day in 3:16.16. Shiloh took 2nd and Mountain View 3rd.
