Austin Sprague of St.Pius X Runs Away with 3A 3200m Title in 9:17
3A- Sprague was a big favorite to close out his HS career by winning the 3200m, would he go for a low time? Sprague wasn't foolin' around tonite, creating an early 40m lead over the chase pack splitting a 1:04. No one in the pack made a move to go after him, as it seemed they were seceeding 1st to Sprague. Austin won going away packing a 9:17.30 with Blessed Trinity's Matt Munns making a few strong moves separating from the pack over the final laps to capture 2nd in 9:36. the North Hall duo of Zack Hill and Quintin Miles swallowed up 3rd and 4th respectively in 9:40/9:42. Woodward's Alex Murfee was nipped at the line taking 5th also in 9:42, with Tyler Jones from North Oconee a step back in 9:43.
