Lovett may have done all but shut the door on 2A this evening after Hailey Branch and Serena Tripodi had their own duel out on the track dominating going 11:14 and 11:15. Westminster got some points from Gabby Bunnell placing 3rd in 11:29. Everyone else was 300 meters back ++
On the Field
Lovett got a huge boost from their Tj athletes as Nicole Teague won the event going 37-00.50 and Khadejah Jackson placed 3rd in 35-8.50. Courtney Fair of GAC waas 2nd with a mark of 36-0.25 Danisha Jones rewarded Thomasville with 20 points sweeping the Throws going 114-5 in the Discus and 40-10 in the Shot. Miranda Davis from Greene Co. placed 2nd in the Shot with a toss of 39-1. Tristan Herndon of Jeff Davis placed 2nd in the Discus at 110-10. Bremen as projected swept the PV as Sarah Zimmerman and Kaylee Riley both cleared 10-6 with the decision going to Zimmerman with fewer misses. e Tierra Whitlock from Monticello took the HJ Jeff davis placed 2nd in the with the top clearance of 5-2. Taylor DeLoach won the LJ at 18-5 with Teague of Lovett 2nd.
Prelims
Got off to a soggy start running almost 1.5 hours. laney got both their 4x100 squads into finals including posting the top time of 49.89. Wesleyan, Lovett iQ'd as well. cairo Booker of Wesleyan had the fastest 400m time at 58.71. DeLoacht Q'd 1st in the 100m besting Walter of Thomasville by .006 at 12.24. Sally Woerner of Rabun clocked the fastest 100h time for AA this season in 15.30. Powell from Bleckley Co easily made it to finals in the 800m posting a Khadejah Jackson of Lovett turned in her best 300h run of the season going 45.24 putting the field on notice. The major players all qualified in the 4x400m including Wesleyan, Lovett, GAC and Thomasville.
