In Mobile, Alabama at the prestigous Challenge of Champions, Carson Dingler won first place in the Pole Vault with a jump of 13-0. Two other girls also cleared this height, then the bar was raised to 13-6. All three girls missed and then went to a jump off, one more attempt at 13-6 with all three missing again. The bar was lowered to 13-3 with all missing and down to 13-0 with the same outcome. The bar was lowered one more height to 12-9 and Carson was the first to clear and her competitors just ran out of steam. This makes Dingler the first freshman female HS vaulter to clear 13-0 also setting a new American Record for girls 14 years old (all time)

Fellow fab Frosh Candace Hill from Rockdale County HS continued to show her stuff, making the long trip down to Mobile (done that a few times) bringing the bacon back to Georgia. Candace took on a talented field and burned down an 11.69 (1.4w) taking the Gold medal, then blazed new ground smokin' it in the 200 at 23.83 (1.3w) with Makenzie Dunmore of McEachern 2nd in 24.18. This makes Hill the 2nd ranked 9th grader in MileSplit National Rankings in the 100 meters and and 6th overall in the 200 meter dash! Its going to be fun to watch her progress in the next 3.5 Outdoor seasons....
