GHSA Girls AAAAA State Preview

                                  'GHSA Girls AAAAA State Preview'

The ladies’ side has turned into a three team battle for the title with regionals behind us. Overall, it’s been a fun and exciting season and can’t wait to watch all the drama unfold on Saturday. On the individual end, Lindsay Billings has established herself as a top-5 all-class runner with impressive recent performances at Coach Wood and region. Good luck to everyone who’s competing.

Northview has opened up a slight gap on #2 Dunwoody and #3 Lakeside-Dekalb (the latter two were only separated by a point at region!), but it is far from over.  With that said, Northview has clearly established themselves as the top team when they’re on and have consistently been featured in the all-class rankings the second half of this season.  McIntosh and Lakeside-Evans both won their region meets and will look to charge for the podium as well with Pope and Starr’s Mill closely in tow.

On the individual end, Lindsay Billings has established herself as a top-5 all-class runner with impressive recent performances at Coach Wood and region.  She has to be the favorite.  One has to believe that Alex Cameron of D-Woody can return to prominence on the main stage after a sub-par season for her; look for her to mix it up if she’s healthy.  Hailey Gollnick has raced well as have Ashley Kehoe, Morgan Mihalis, and Micah Weathers and should challenge for the top spots.
