   6-AAAAA- Dunwoody Gals Beat Lakeside By 1 point, Clarkston Boys Rock the House

At the home of the DeKalb County meet on the Druid Hills MS course, Dunwoody, led by ace Alex Cameron fought off Lakeside-DeKalb taking the Girls 6-AAAAA region title. Those Futbol loving Clarkston boys, won their first region title in nearly 10 years besting traditional power Lakeside DeKalb by 12 points. Davis Stockwell from Lakeside secured the overall win in 16:23.

It came down to the 5th runners as Dunwoody fended of pesky Lakeside-DeKalb winning the region title. Only 2 runners from North Atlanta/Tucker were in the mix of Cats/Vikings battling for region supremacy.  Frosh Morgan Mihalis crossed the line 1st for Lakeside in 19:32 with Alex Cameron a few meters back placing 2nd in 19:40. Who will come out on top at State and challenge very formidable #1 ranked Northview? Madeline Pearce of North Atlanta was 3rd overall in 20:14 sparking her team to Q for state.

Those Futbol loving Clarkston boys, won their first region title in nearly 10 years besting traditional power Lakeside DeKalb by 12 points. The Angoras (the definition is clouded)  put their top 6 in the first 12 places securing the Region 6-AAAAA title with a decent 1-5 split of :32  Muhozi Aimable led the pack placing 2nd overall in 16:46 with teamate Hussein Sadik 30 meters back in 4th posting a 16:50.Davis Stockwell led Lakeside won the overall title in 16:23. Kameron Scott from Southwest DeKalb Q'd for state as an individual finishing 3rd in 16:49.
