AA Boys

GaMileSplit wanted to know, Gratis and George Finch (MS State Champ) came to check it out as well. How good is Kaleb McLeod of Trinity Christian...He's pretty dang good. Kaleb proved on this day, he belongs in the conversation with GHSA's best including Mills, Sprague, Dunlap, Woodrome, etc, etc.. Foot Locker South will be his opportunity to run with the 'Big Boys' Trinity's boys had no competition and would have given any AAA team trouble including Southland as they easily took the AA team title back to Dublin.

GaMileSplit wanted to know, Gratis and George Finch (MS State Champ) came to check it out as well. How good is Kaleb McLeod of Trinity Christian...He's pretty dang good. It was mesmerizing watching him run, not shuffle, but run like he was doing a 1600m (at least when he passed ga.milesplit just before the mile marker around 4:50. McLeod disapeared as coaches yelled at their runners to go get him...good luck with that chore. Kaleb proved today (clocking a 15:53 running alone) he belongs in the conversation with GHSA's best including Mills, Sprague, Dunlap, Woodrome, etc, etc.. Foot Locker South will be his opportunity to run with the 'Big Boys'. Joey Jenkins of Monsignor Donovan valiantly attempted to keep McLeod in his sights with a strong runnerup finish of 16:37 Jacob McLeod (an 8th grader) fought his way past 'young men' (see the photo gallery) enroute to placing 3rd in 16:47.  Jacob Burgamy of Brentwood left it all out on the course attempting to keep pace in 17:00. ALL of these 2-4 runners could have won the AAA title.

It was a given Trinity Christian Dublin would take the team title, but they didn't take it for granted, racing very hard scoring just 28 points outdistancing runnerup Frederica Academy from St.Simons by 80 points.. The McLeod brothers led the victory parade aided by Derek Torres, Nabeel Khoja and Jake Williams (all going sub 18:50) Frederica was paced by Jonathan Schmidt's 6th place effort in 18:40. Covenant Academy placed 3rd and Brentwood was in team scoring 4th led by Burgamy's great race.
