Southeast Region sees GRU men and women hold high ranks in week four poll

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The GRU Augusta Men’s and Women’s Cross Country programs remained in the top 10 for the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II Regional Rankings Tuesday afternoon, with the men holding on to No. 3 spot and the women No. 7, according to a release from the USTFCCCA Tuesday afternoon.

There was no change in the Southeast Region for the men and women. For the men, Mount Olive, Columbus State and GRU Augusta held down the top-three spots in that order, followed by King (Tenn.), Mars Hill, Flagler, Georgia College, UNC Pembroke, Queens, and Anderson. In the women’s poll, CSU, Wingate, and Flagler led the list, while UNCP, Mount Olive, Clayton State, GRU Augusta, King, North Georgia, and Queens closed out the top 10.

The Peach Belt Conference was represented by five schools on the men’s side and six on the women’s – the most of any conference on the list.
