Velocity started off the 2012 indoor season with a lights performance literally. During the start of the boys 4x200 relay the lights went out and they ran the race in the dark. It was a good weekend for Velocity and also very busy as Velocity Athletes competed in the USATF Georgia Assocation Championships. Lots of PRs. Jeremy Patrick Lacy took 8th in the 100m finals, Young Men 4x100 7th, 4x400 6th. Great Job by everybody.

Velocity Sunbird Athletics
Velocity Sunbird Athletics was created by Coach Sean Robison whose love of sports and track has allowed him to create this club. Coach Robison has been coaching and working with athletes in a variety of sports for over 20 years. He is dedicated to the development of the complete individual. The sport of track and field is fundamental to all other sports. It is the reason in the Olympics; it is called Athletics and not Track and Field. Almost all other sports take their movements and forms from track. Whether an athlete is interested strictly in improving their performances in track or they use track as means to help them get better in other sports, Velocity Athletes are encouraged to set goals and to experience the success that comes from achieving those goals. We expect athletes to work hard and do their best.
This team?s approach to improving the athlete involves the complete person. It is not about becoming better just on the track but also in the classroom, at home and in life through building solid character based on the principles of hard work, sportsmanship, integrity and honesty.
The Team is open to Youth, Open and Masters Runners.

Dedicated to the effective training and development of sportsmanship, leadership; physical and mental abilities and to instill the desire to be the best they can be. Sports can be instrumental in the development of young athletes as well as keeping mature athletes young at heart and in meeting the challenges of Life through self?discipline, hard work, and building confidence. We are committed to showing and helping athletes to maintain a healthy lifestyle, because healthy bodies contribute to healthy minds. We instill honesty and integrity at a young age to inspire greatness in adulthood. It is the overall goal of this organization to help athletes set and meet challenging, worth while goals and to contribute to molding of the complete person, ready to contribute to benefit society and themselves.

Gold represents excellence and the rewards of accomplishment.
Crimson represents the blood sweat and tears or the sacrifice that every athlete puts into their efforts to accomplish and achieve.
Purple is an accent color and represents honor, integrity and expectations. Purple is the the color of royalty and identifies with the phrase, "where much is given much is expected.

The sun has always been a symbol of life, vitality, and strength and is related to the phoenix which rose out of the ashes to reach new heights. The sunbird is a symbol of power and finesse.

Finshed 2nd with a time of 3:32.06 ranked 2nd in the Georgia and top 2% in the US.
Kevin Gary 400m Qualifying at 2009 National Scholastic Indoor Championships
Kevin finished the 2009 indoor season ranked 16th in the Nation at 400m.
In these videos Kevin, Mark and Bryant are demonstrating 50m technique runs which we do regularly in practice to improve proper running form and technique.
