Dominique Nock of Spalding High signed her letter of Intent to run for the University of South Carolina Upstate and coach Smith.
Jenna Wesley to UAB, Aaron Ledet to Miles College, Adam Miller to Point University, Precious Martin to Darton.
The Lady Jags started off the season in fine fashion by finishing first in the A/AA/AAA division of the Jag Invitational. They were 3rd overall. Medal Winners were: Jenna Wesley, Lauren Cook, Meg Ward, Dominique Nock, and Emily Rabbit Peek. The boys had a fine run for a young team. They finished 2nd in the A/AA/AAA division, and 5th overall. Medal Winners were: Bryan Cronan. Next meet: Athens
It will be an intresting year for the Jags. A lot of new young faces. The girls team will be returning all but one senior from last season, but the boys will return only 3. We are looking forward to the opening Invitational and working toward our goal of becoming the best we can be by Region and State.

3/07/09 Girls Win Griffin Invitational/Boys 3rd Place
The Jags girls team was off and running at the Griffin Invitational. Senior Sarah Adams won the 3200m in a time of 12:30.1, and was second in the 1600m in a time of 6:02.1.Jenna Wesley won the 1600 in 5:35.6. Jenna also won the 800m in a time of 2:29.1. Shay Wright was 2nd in the 800m in 2:43.0 Ariel Hernandez was 2nd in the Discus with a 84. Shakevia Richards won the shot with 29"11. Tarilyn Johnson was second with a 28'3. Lakeria Hastings was second in the triple with a 30"9. Shay Wright was second in the 400m in 1:03.1. Dominque Nock was second in the 100m in a time of 12.53. She was third in the long jump with 15'2". Stanareil Phinazee was second in the 200m in 25.9. The 4x100 relay team was first in 50.03, and first in the 4x400 in 4:18.5.
