Can Neglia Break 18 at Bristol Cross?
Sasha Neglia has been dominant so far this season. And this weekend, she has a tough test on a tough course.
The sophomore won five of her seven races last season, including the 3A State Title. And this season, she won her first and only race at the Cherokee Classic.
At Bristol Cross, Neglia will once again race Shila Kapaya of Knoxville Catholic, who has run under 18:20 this season already.
Last season, Neglia won this meet in 18:40. But she broke 18 minutes four times last year, including in her season debut. Her Dobyns Bennett team should also have a good shot at the team title. DB has the slight edge in the virtual meet projections.
