Race recount:
In the Boys Varsity race which was comprised of 43 runners
Lessig (Shaw) and Marcus Nelson (Belle Chasse) went through the first mile in 5:30 at a dead even stride, then continued through 2 in 11:40 and 11:42 with Nelson leading. Worth and Wheeler were not far behind at 12:10, Little Willie came up big on the 3rd mile and went by a a fading Worth.
In the team race Shaw ran well as a pack with a 55 second spread from #2 to #7.
In the Girls Varsity which included 35 runners
Fitz and Brandi came through the mile in 6:30, while Hingle led Megan by 10 seconds. The leaders came through 2 in 13:18 (Fitzhenry)and 13 32 (Brandi) so who both closedwho went on to close strong!
In the team race it turned into a dual meet as Belle Chasse and Blenk alternated finishers. But in the end Blenk tallied the win.
