Coached youth, high school, and collegiate track - jumps - Level II certified jumps, throws, combined eventsNSCA - certified strength and conditioning coach DI. Retired public school teacher; 7 years collegiate experience, coached NCAA DI region and national qualifiers; NJCAA All-American; NCAA nationals indoor and outdoor high jump finals; USATF junior womens - triple jump finalist, 8th place; several age group top 10 in USATF nationals, ages 10-18 :contributing articles/blog related to jumps, plyometrics, and triple jump training SpeedEndurance.com and CompleteTrackandField.com Assisted in seminars with GHSA and Atlanta TC and Atlanta Public Schools. I began a jumps training program, "Flying Without Wings" to advance the performance of motivated scholastic and advanced jumpers. This includes technique, strength and conditioning specific to the jumping disciplines. In 2015 I started a charitible program, "Speed for Needs" - collecting new and used (good condition) trainers and track spikes. To date around 60 pair of trainer and specialty spikes have been distributed to schools and clubs. THESE SHOES ARE DESIGNATED FOR YOUTH NEEDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. The Georgia track community contributes to the program. My philosophy is built upon a foundation combining the art and science of performance. I am a self-described "jumps fanatic" and "jock nerd".......fortunate to have friends and colleagues from the highest levels of coaching. These contacts inable me to share and dialogue with the track community. I always welcome the input and experience of other coaches and athletes.
