Janaya Chambers Returns To Brooks PR Serves As 'Redemption Meet' Todd Grasley Jun 15, 2016

Stanton Prep senior and UGA signee Janaya Chambers won the 3A state championship in the 400m dash at the 2015 state meet running a PR of 54.17. Chambers was invited to the Brooks PR Invitational where she 5th against the nation's top athletes. In 2016, she faced some setbacks that caused her to cut her senior season short and focus on school and her health. However, she was a little surprised when she was invited back to Seattle for the 2016 Brooks PR. We talk to her about getting the invite, the road back, and her plans for Saturday.

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that Andrew Jackson (Jacksonville) and University of Georgia alum Torrin Lawrence was killed today in an auto accident. Lawrence was one of the all-time greatest 200/400 meter stars in Florida, graduating high school in 2008.

Shorecrest Prep senior Alex Eaton finished her cross country career with a runner-up finish at the 1A Cross Country Finals. She boasts a personal best of 18:18.26 for 5000 meters. On the track, she finished fifth as a junior in the 3200 meters where she ran a personal best time of 11:21.29. Recently, Eaton announced she will be heading north to Athens, Georgia to run the for the University of Georgia.

Lindsey Declares Bulldogs Best Fit: Will Walk On At UGA Todd Grasley Apr 15, 2013

Winter Park senior John Lindsey has been a valuable part of the Winter Park distance program over the past four years. Lindsey finished 17th at the 4A Cross Country Finals and eighth in the 800 at the FHSAA 4A Outdoor State Finals as a junior. He was also a member of hte Wildcat's nationally ranked 4x800 meter relay team, and placed 11th in the 2000m steeplechase at New Balance outdoor Nationals. Recently, he announced that he will walk on the track and field and cross country teams at the University of Georgia.

“I am adjusting well. The coaching staff is great; things are going pretty good and I am looking for the best this year,” said 18-year-old Shaunae Miller, who is in her first year at the University of Georgia (Georgia). Shaunae continued, “training is going pretty good.” Shaunae, who hails from the Bahamas, comes to Georgia with an impressive resume that includes posting lifetime best times of 22.70 seconds in the 200m and 51.25 seconds in the 400m. Greater Louisville Classic College Meet Preview Jonathan Grooms Sep 30, 2010

Louisville, KY- The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) will host 97 colleges and universities from 20 states in the 9th Annual Greater Louisville Classic (GLC),  which once again will be the largest college meet contested in the south. The Classic, run Saturday October 2nd, will bring together some of the top college cross country programs in the nation, as over 2,000 athletes are expected to compete at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. The event will not only feature vast quantity, but the overall quality of the competing teams continues to improve with each year. The field includes 29 men's teams and 23 women's teams that are currently ranked in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Div- I Regional, NCAA Div. II National, NCAA Div. III National and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Cross Country Polls this season.
