We are pleased to announce the 8th Annual Derrick Plankenhorn Invitational that will be held at Georgia Southern University on March 19. The SEB track is under construction, so GSU has been gracious enough to offer us the use of their track. The Plankenhorn Invitational is open this year to Middle Schools as well as High Schools this year. We are hoping to inspire some of the young athletes to further their athletics in track & field in high school.
The Plankenhorn Invitational is a GHSA sanctioned event and will follow the rules of the GHSA. This meet will have automatic timing provided by The Perfect Timing Group. You will register your entries online:

Middle School athletes will be given ribbons for 1st 8th place, and 1st and 2nd place team trophies
High School athletes will be given medals for 1st 3rd place, 1st and 2nd place team trophies, and a high point trophy
Early registration for all schools is $30 per team for Middle School ($50 for school boys/girls) and $75 per team for High School ($130 for school boys/girls) by March
4 to Southeast Bulloch High. Late registration fees are $50 for MS and $100 for HS.

The meet will begin at 9:00 am. Coaches meeting will begin at 8:30 am on March 19, 2011 at GSU (location announced time of meet).
You may have 2 athletes enter into an event and 2 relay teams. No athlete may be in more than GHSA recommended events.
Teams may set up tents in the parking lot.
Shirts with all participating school names will be on sale for $15.
At the moment, there will be a small concessions.
