The 2010 Atlanta Classic (formerly The Mill Run)

Location: Clinton Nature Preserve, Douglasville, GA (see directions below)
Please note that, due to fencing and scheduling issues at Boundary Waters, we are returning to Clinton Nature Preserve this year. We regret the change in venue, but are limited in options at this late notice. We will have a different course layout at Clinton to accommodate our larger race sizes. This will not be the normal Clinton two-loop layout.
Timing services will be handled by The Perfect Timing Group. On-line entry will be through GATFXC.com. Note that when entering on-line you do not have to designate which race your athletes will run in. Simply enter your entire roster and you may choose on race day which races your athletes are to run (subject to per race entry limitations).
All athletes who compete will be timed with names included in results. There will be extensive pre- and post-race coverage including photos, videos and articles on GATFXC.com.
Out-of-state schools: we plan to request Alabama and Tennessee sanctioning. Others upon request. We are west of Atlanta off I-20. Less than 2 hours from Birmingham and about 2 hours from Chattanooga.

Trophies to the top 3 teams in the Championship races.
Zack Wansley Spirit Scholarship Award
On September 13, 2008, our friend Ted "Doc" Wansley lost his son Zack who died suddenly while on a 20 mile training run on the very trails where the first Mill Run (now the Atlanta Classic) was held 7 years ago. Doc and his wife Maribeth have established the Zack Wansley Spirit Scholarship as a way to honor the memory of Zack and the spirit with which he approached life.
On behalf of Doc and Maribeth, who remain part of the Chapel Hill family, we invite you to nominate one of your athletes to receive the $500 scholarship named on behalf of Zack. The recipient will be announced during the awards ceremony at The Atlanta Classic on Saturday, September 25th.
