Local runners and teams are invited to run the trails at Milton High School at the XC 5K Trail Challenge on December 5.

Enjoy a 5k trail run along creekbeds, over bridges and through the woods at Atlanta Track Club's Cross Country 5k Challenge at Milton High School on Saturday, December 5. You can compete individually or as a team (five runners per team, top three are scored). You do not need to be on a team to run, everyone is welcome. Team classifications are Adult Men, Adult Women, Youth Boys, and Youth Girls (adults are age 19 and over, youth are under age 19). This is one of the toughest XC courses in Georgia, and we run rain or shine. Be prepared to run on a variety of surfaces (grass, bark chip, gravel) and negotiate sharp turns and hills in the wooded sections of the course. Awards to top individuals and top teams. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, 9:00 a.m. near the softball fields at Milton High School, 13025 Birmingham Highway, Milton GA, 30004. There will be just one race with everyone running. Hosted by Atlanta Track Club. ATC members FREE, youth team $5 each runner, adult team and individuals $10 each runner. This is a low-key, no T-shirt event.
