Middle School Track and Field Championships
March 29-30, 2023

NOTE** Coaches should claim their team in MileSplit and enter their rosters into the system.
Deadlines:
March 20th- Coaches claim their team in MileSplit
March 22nd- Rosters are completed in MileSplit for boys and girls teams
The above items should have been completed previously in order to enter athletes into the regular season meets.
March 25th- Entries are submitted into the meet in MileSplit
March 27th @ 8:00 PM- Deadline to submit changes to entries
Entry Limit Individual:
No athlete may participate in more than four events total. This includes relays and individual events.
Entry Limit Team:
No team may submit more than three entries in any individual event and may not submit more than two relays per event.

Wednesday March 29th 3:00PM Start Time. Preliminaries
** Coaches meeting promptly at 2:15.

Thursday March 30th 3:00PM Finals
**Finals coaches meeting at 2:15.
Boys long jump followed by girls
Girls triple jump followed by boys (Girls start at 20-0, Boys start at 24-0)
Girls shot put followed by boys
Boys high jump followed by girls (Boys start at 4-0, Girls start at 3-8)

**All field events will have three attempts. There will be no advancement to a finals in any field event.
Advancement to Finals Criteria:
***It is heat dependent.
2 heats means it is top 2 in each heat plus the next four fastest times.
3 heats means top 2 in each heat plus the next two fastest times.
4 heats is the winner from each heat plus the next 4 fastest times.
Any changes to this criteria will be sent to coaches prior to the event.
Weather delays:
If there are storms anticipated Friday the meet may be ran completely on Saturday with no finals. It would be ran under normal meet schedule guidelines.
If there is a storm anticipated Saturday then the meet may be ran under normal meet guidelines on Friday only.
If there is a minor weather concern early either day then the start times MAY be delayed.
Other adjustments may be made as needed due to weather.

Triple Jump- Richmond Hill, Hephzibah
Long Jump- Langford, Murphey
High Jump- Spirit Creek, Glenn Hills
Shot Put- Freedom Park, Belair
Starter- Hornsby (Backup)
