Meet Information
The L.C "Willie Hamm" Invitational will be the 1st Meet this season to be hosted here at Lamar County Track and Field Complex. We will be honoring Mr. Willie Hamm. He qualified in the 1980 Olympics, but didn't make it to the Games because then-President Jimmy Carter announced that the United States would boycott the games in Moscow. Mr. Willie Hamm doesn't know the definition of quitting or feeing sorry for himself. So in 2010, he started volunteering at Lamar County school, helping to coach and mentor the children. He is a key figure in the Lamar County Community. Mr. Hamm is a disable vet. He was told that he would never walk again after a car accident injured his brain and spinal cord. He has also been diagnosed with cancer, and is wheelchair bound. So please come to show your respect with honoring this man. This is the home of the Lamar County Trojans. Entries will be limited to the 1st 9 Boys and Girls teams, so please submit your request as early as possible. Only 3 entries for all field and running events.
Only 1 (4x100, 4x200, 4x800 and 4x400 meter relay per team)
In the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter runs, teams can have 4 runners.
