Dear Coaches,
We have made a few changes to make the JV Cobb Championships as similar to the Varsity one as possible. After discussion with several coaches, we will allow 2 relay teams for the 4x800 with only one scored. This will allow for distance kids one more chance to compete without changing the scoring process. Please see the new schedule and event workers list. CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
April 13th-14th 2021 @McEachern High School
Facility 8 lane track. Timing will be FAT. Concessions and
meet t shirts will be sold.
Admission is $5 purchased through GO Fan Only. Coaches must
have their GHSA Coaches pass to
enter the stadium.
Meet entry fee is $200 per school. Checks need to be made
out to McEachern Booster Club Attn: (Track) Phil Hoskins 2400 New Macland Road
Powder Springs Ga 30127.
Entries: 3 entries per event and 1 entry per relay event.
Entries are due by Monday April 11th @ midnight Entries will be
completed on ga.milesplit at: https://ga.milesplit.com/meets/397089-cobb-county-championship-meet2021/info#.YFC7QZ1KhPY
All 9th or 10th graders that compete in "Individual
events" in the Varsity County Meet
are ineligible to compete at the JV County
Meet.
Relay only participation (at Varsity County) is
permitted and does NOT eliminate their JV County Meet eligibility.
Awards TROPHIES: Top 2 Girls Teams & Top 2
Boys Teams.
MEDALS: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place
Scoring Individual and relay: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Field Events Long & Triple Jump:
3 jumps per athlete, top 9 athletes qualify to
finals for 3 additional jumps.
Shot Put & Discus:
3 throws per athlete, top 9 athletes qualify to finals for 3 additional throws.
Prelim Advancement: Heat winners automatically qualify to finals, next best times will fill out the remaining spots.
All GHSA and NFHS rules will be enforced. We will have a jury of appeals to resolve any disputes.
