Meet Information

The Bulldog Early will be run on our home course that has been tested and tried for the past four years. The course is a fast flat 2 loop course through the woods and around a field. This is a true cross country course where your runners will get a chance to see how much their summer work has paid off.

We will have water at the finish line. However because it is early you will need to bring more for your team.

Medals first 10 each race

Plaque top two team each division JV and Varsity

Bulldog Early Meet Information

Date: September 22, 2020

Race Time: All races will be 5K

Varsity Girls 5:00 PM

Varsity Boys 5:45 PM

Directions: From Elberton area. About 300 yards passed the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Turn Right on to Fairview Avenue.The course is a quarter mile down on the Right.

From the downtown Hartwell area. Travel in on Hwy 29 and turn right at City Hall onto Hwy 77 / Benson Street.Go about a mile and turn Left onto Fairview Avenue.The course is a quarter mile down on the Right.

 

Bus drop off: All buses will need to enter from the Benson Street end of Fairview Avenue.Buses will need to drop

off and unload their runners at the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church located at 579 Fairview Street. Buses will then

park at the National Guard Armory located across the road from the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church. 

 

Race entry:

All runners need to be entered on the GA Milesplit web site by 5:00 pm September 15, 2020. Top 10 varsity all others JV.

 Fee:

Please bring a check payable to Hart County Cross Country Boosters for $75 to help us pay for the chip timing service.



Course location:

Behind Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church 579 Fairview Street Hartwell Ga. The map is attached.1st lap is white; 2nd lap is orange; finish is red.

 

Buses will need to drop off and unload their runners at the Saint

Andrew's Episcopal Church located at 579 Fairview Street.Buses will then park at the National Guard

Armory located across the road from the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church. 

Spectator Parking:

Cars and other vehicles may park in the church parking lot or in the

grass field before the gate.PLEASE DO

NOT PARK ALONG THE ROAD IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH SO THAT THE BUSES CAN UTILIZE

THIS AREA FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING.



Restrooms:

There will be port-a-potties located at the course field.

 Tents:

Team Tents can be set up anywhere near the start/finish area. Trash bags will be available at packet pick up.

Timing:

Timing will be by provided by Fast Feet timing

Kona Ice will be on site to sale their cool treats so tell your runners to bring a few bucks.

We do not have any fast food places that are doing sit down service but they may work with you on a pickup or delivery.
