Clayton County HS Track and Field Championships

Lovejoy, GA

Meet Information

The first round field events will start at 9:00 am. The field will be a four attempt, without a final. The only running event that will take place during the field will be the 3200. The girls race will run at 11:00 am. The rest of the running will wait until the field is complete.

At the completion of the field I would like to honor the seniors from each school. Please provide me a list the day of the meet with the names of the seniors you want to recognize. We will line the seniors up on the home side on the track and announce them by school.

Each school will be allowed three entries in every thing except the 4x100 and 4x400; only two relays teams per school. I would like to add an exhibition 4x800 with only one team per school. This relay will not score or have medals. It will give us extra chances for more athletes to compete. The 4x800 will run where the 3200 would have been.

Schools will be asked to help out with field events. We ask that you bring a tape measure to run your event. The event responsibilities are listed below:
Mount Zion - boys and girls pole vault
Lovejoy and Elite Scholars - Boys and girls triple
Morrow and Jonesboro - Boys and girls discus
North Clayton - Boys and girls high jump
Riverdale and Forest Park - Boys and girls long jump
Mundy's Mill and Drew - Boys and girls shot
Minimum distances will be in place for each event. We can discuss them at the coaches meeting which will be at 8:30 am the morning of the meet, to make sure everyone agrees they are fair.

Meet Director - Jason Battles

Appeals committee - Coach Laws, Coach Davis, Coach Bostic

There will not be changes made the morning of the meet. The running seeding will be done so the fastest runners run against each other. Since there will be no final only verified times on milesplit will be allowed. Any questions or concerns can be directed to me via email or cell 678-591-1416.

Sincerely,
Charles Jason Battles
