EVENT ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS
Milesplit Online Registration
Registration deadline is Tuesday, April 14 at 9PM.
ENTRY RESTRICTIONS - each school can enter two athletes (two boys, two girls) per event. For relays, each team can enter an A squad. In addition, the top 3 B squads (as determined by time) entered will also be included, since well have 12 lanes total with two heats. Seeding for all relays will be by time.
Per GHSA rules, please follow these limitations on entries -
A contestant in Track & Field may enter a maximum of two relays, and one (1) of the combinations listed below. Competitors not on one or two relay teams are still restricted to one of the following combinations:
1. Three (3) field events
2. Two (2) field events and one (1) running event
3. One (1) field event and two (2) running events
HURDLES
For boys, well use the USATF Best Practices recommendation (see attachment) of 33, which is consistent with the GA middle school state championship height. The height for the other hurdles (100 girls, 300 boys & girls) will be 30.
TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
*We are asking each team to completely facilitate and staff one field event area. In addition, we are asking schools to help with exchange zones.
