2015 GHSA Region 5AAAAAA Championship

Race Schedule:
o 08:00 am Coaches Meeting if necessary
o 08:30 am Division II Boys
o 09:00 am Division II Girls
o 09:45 am Varsity Boys
o 10:15 am Varsity Girls
o 10:30 am Awards
Entry: No entry fee as long as we make enough at the gate.
o Register all runners through ga.milesplit.com by Oct 28th at 11:59 PM. Runners must be on the roster sheet submitted to GHSA in order to run in the Varsity races.
Awards:
o Top 4 teams in Boys and Girls varsity races will receive trophies.
o Top 10 varsity male and top 10 varsity female runners IN EACH RACE will receive place medals
o Top 2 teams in Boys and Girls JV races will receive trophies.
Race Day Information
o Team packet pick up at head tent close to Finish. Boxes will be pre-drawn and written on packet.
o Admission will be $5 for anyone over the age of 10, free for 10 and under.
o Concessions will be available for purchase.
o Canton Fire department will be onsite to provide emergency care.
o All tents should be set up outside of gravel loop path.
o Vehicles will not be permitted in the course area.
o Please remind spectators and timers that the gravel path is the course and they should not lean into the course. They need to stay on the grass areas and that when crossing the course they need to be cognizant of competing runners.
-Parking by the park is at a premium. Others can park up by Cherokee HS. All buses should park in the parking area in Boling Park by the pavilion.

From the South:
1. Take I-575 North
2. Take the GA-5-BR N/GA-20 W/GA-140 W exit-EXIT 16-toward GA-140/Canton
3. When the exit splits keep left onto GA-5-BR N/GA-20 W/GA-140 W
4. At the traffic light turn right onto GA-5 BR N/GA-140/Marietta Highway
5. Follow GA-5 BR N/GA-140/Marietta Highway for approximately .6 miles
6. The entrance to Boling Park is on your left just after you cross over the Etowah River.
From the North:
1. Take APD-515/I-575 South
2. Take the GA-5-BR N/GA-20 W/GA-140 W exit-EXIT 16A-toward GA-140/Canton
3. At the traffic light turn right onto GA-5 BR N/GA-140/Marietta Highway
4. Follow GA-5 BR N/GA-140/Marietta Highway for approximately .6 miles
5. The entrance to Boling Park is on your left just after you cross over the Etowah River.

* All Athletes must wear a chip to be scored.

* The majority of the course is on a flat, fine gravel loop, with a quarter mile section on a grassy field.
* All teams should set up tents on hill above infield. Spaces will be marked.
* Concessions and t-shirts will be on sale.
