Region 8-AAAA Meet April 21 & 23, 2014 at Monroe Area High School.
Fee - $120.00 per school (Make Checks Payable to MAHS Track Booster Club). Fee covers timers, blanks, hip numbers and starter.

Start Times Day #1: Coaches Meeting @ 10:00AM in Fieldhouse. Day #2: Finals Begin Promptly at 5:00PM.

Prelim Races There will be 3 Heats of 6 runners. Top 2 from each heat and next 2 fastest will advance.

If there are 2 heats:
top 2 from each heat and next 4 best times qualify for Day #2 Region Finals
If there are 3 heats:
top 2 from each heat and next 2 best times qualify for Day #2 Region Finals

Field Events 3 attempts in prelims and top 9 advance to finals for 3 more attempts.

Region 8-AAAA Track & Field Championships Location:

Directions: From I-85 South Take Highway 316 towards Winder Turn Right onto Highway 11 Drive approximately seven miles Turn Right on to Double Springs Church Road. Parking will be permitted near the entrance of the stadium.

Admissions: GHSA Regulates $5.00 Entry

Facilities: Monroe Area HS is an all-weather track surface. Pyramid Spike only permitted on the track. NO NEEDLE SPIKES! Tents need to be placed at the top of the HOME side bleachers out of the view of patrons. No tents on the visitor side of the track due to no way to get to clerks tent from that side. There are no locker room facilities available. Restrooms are located near the home concessions under the stadium.

Full concessions will be offered.

Meet t-shirts will be available for sale.

Coaches hospitality will be set up in the fieldhouse during the meet. This is for coaches only. There will be a certified ATC on site in case of emergency.

Reminders: Please adhere to GHSA Guidelines when submitting your Entry List. The deadline is to be determined.

No athletes or coaches allowed inside the track area (Fenced area) at any time. Warm up areas are located on the practice field located by the shot put and discus area. Coaches must remain outside of the competition area at all times.

All perimeter gates will be locked and athletes can enter the track through the clerk of course tent near the field house and 100M start line.

No removal of warm ups inside the competition area, everything must be taken off prior to entering the track. Athletes must check in and stay with the clerk by the 2nd call. Failure to check in and follow clerks instruction will result in a disqualification. Hip numbers will be issued to each athlete, they are to be placed on the left hip. Athletes will be escorted to the start line. All protests or complaints must be directed to the meet director in writing.

The games committee will make all rule interpretations.

All NFHS and GHSA rules will apply, including jewelry and uniforms. No electronic devices are permitted in the competition area/
