REVISED MEET SCHEDULE
Coaches,
On behalf of the coaching staff at East Jackson we want to welcome you to the meet on February 28. We have 12 schools this year coming to our 5th annual invitational. We are charging admission at the gate and there is a $100 entry fee payable to East Jackson High School. All entries are to be done on ga milesplit. The top three individuals and relay teams will receive medals with 4th-6th getting ribbons. The top 3 teams will receive team awards.
We will be asking coaches from the different schools to assist in the field events and a few as a back up to Bruce in the running events. Coaches will receive a ticket for lunch at the concession stand. Coach Collins will be the starter and Coach Roller the clerk of the course. Coach Collins will give instructions for the field assignments at the 9:15 meeting for the coaches. We are going to have 4 jumps (long jump, triple jump) and 4 throws (shot,discus) on Saturday. T-shirts will be sold, and there is a concession stand available as well. Athletes are not to go into the school or field house at East Jackson. Coaches, due to the weather I have moved the 800 to 12:15. I am going to allow 4 entries in the 800, 1600, 3200. By moving the 800 up to 12:15 this will allow runners wanting to double 800, 1600 more time between races and we can finish the meet one hour earlier. Runners doubling in 1600 and 3200 will have a great deal of recovery.
