Region 1-AA Cross Country Championship
Date: Tuesday, October 29, 2013
Place: Kolomokee Mounds State Park

Entry: Only eligible high school athletes may participate. Coaches should send names of all possible participants on the GHSA entry form to be received by Monday, October 21, 2013. No additions may be made after this date.
Teams: A varsity team shall consist of at least five and no more than seven athletes. They should be listed on the entry form. If they are not on the entry form that is sent in, they are ineligible to run. NO ADDITONS MAY BE MADE THE DAY OF THE RACE!!
Scoring: The top five finishers from each team will score points toward the team total. If a team does not have at least five finishers, that teams participants will be deleted before team scores are totaled.
Scratches: A coachs scratch meeting will be held at 10:00 am. This meeting will take place at the registration table in the parking lot. Athletes may be scratched from the roster, but NONE may be added.
Awards: The top two teams will receive Trophies and the top three individuals will receive medals. The top four teams and the top six individuals will advance to the state meet.
Course: The race course is 5,000 meters and is mostly grass with some wooded trails. It is mildly hilly. The course begins and ends near the park museum.
Misc. Restrooms are located at various locations throughout the park. There is a restroom at the museum where the race will begin but it would be much better if coaches could stop at other, larger restrooms within the park before they parked the bus. This will reduce the overflow of traffic at the museum. Athletes should come dressed to run.
