I guess we\'ve all been so busy but take some time to study this amazing region!! It\'s as good as any in the state regardless of classification. To think that Therrell dq\'ed two teams that were 48 point or faster and the region still had two 48 point teams!
I can\'t decide which junior had the better record-setting double:
Emily Reese 4:47/10:16
or Brittany Long 11.49/23.02
Suffice it to say - they are best sprinter and the best distance runner in the history of Georgia High School Track and Field and they are in the same region at the same time - WOW!
These two and the rest of the region are something else!

It was even stronger/deeper last year; five 4x100\'s under 50, four 4x400\'s under 4:00, and at the time the top 3 times in the state for both hurdles.... (http://www.milesplit.com/meet/16868)

5AAA may also have had the strongest region meet in the 800 as well.
5AAA (4 elite times)
1st - 2:17.28
2nd - 2:18.60
3rd - 2:20.28
4th - 2:21.63
7AAAAA (3 elite times)
1st - 2:17.55
2nd - 2:17.65
3rd - 2:23.19
6AAAA (2 elite times)
1st - 2:19.79
2nd - 2:20.18
Jovelle Patterson from North Atlanta (5AAA 800 champ) also won the 300 hurdles (44.76) and was on the region champ 4x400 (3:48.84) team. That\'s a lot of racing and a lot of winning in a short span of time!

it may have been deeper last year, but I bet they didn\'t have 4 state all-time bests

That 4:47/10:16 double is ridiculous. She ought to be running with the boys this season. Hope she\'s writing her ticket...
