@acarr6453 but in the absence of bad news, that is good news by default at least. As of now, Dusty Smith, who directs some of the bigger meets in FL every year seems very optimistic and moving forward. Here's his post from today: The FHSAA is leaving it to the school districts to determine their sports starting dates within the sports season. If a district decides not to allow a fall sport then that is solely on that specific district. With that being said my company B3R Sports will continue on with our already scheduled events Sept 5th Florida Horse Park Invite and Sept 19th Alligator Lake Invite. We will lower the team limit in our FHSAA races, we will be adding a club high school section for districts where they can not run for their school but may still want to compete. We will still have our middle school and elementary school sections as well. If the FHSAA high school sections have a large number of teams register, we will split the race in half. We plan on taking every precaution to ensure coaches, parents and athletes safety. We will post our extra procedures in the next few weeks on our website www.b3rsports.com so that parents and coaches are aware of any change out of the norm. We understand a lot of people have strong feelings on this matter. We feel that all of this is about choice. You can choose to come or choose not to come. Either way we support your decision, we just want to give opportunity for that choice.

@Beaudreau_Mike FHSAA to Meet Again to Debate Return to Competition https://fl.milesplit.com/articles/283229/fhsaa-to-meet-again-to-debate-return-to-competition#.Xxn1LPRlrIc.twitter "The reality of the situation is there has been no clear decision on fall sports as a whole in the state of Florida. Until there is a final decision on safety protocols for all sports, that leaves cross country coaches and meet directors up to their own devices to come up with their own protocols that follow their county rules. No decisions have been made on a sport by sport basis from the FHSAA when it comes to competition protocol, practice protocol, travel protocol, or the state series. "
