Nike Panther Relays - March 1-2, 2019 We are excited to the 2019 Nike Panther Relays. Last Year we hosted 1600 athletes and 39 teams from Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. We expect similar quality competition and size of fields as last year. We kept the great event line-up and a chance to enter more athletes in selected events if athletes have run under time thresholds time (must be verifiable on Milesplit) and we modified the Friday schedule to get coaches and athletes out earlier on Friday evening. On Friday evening: • We kept the popular JV running events: 800m, 100m, 4x100m, and 4x400m • We kept the Varsity running events: 100m Showcase Prelims, Sprint Medley Relay, 4x800m, and 3200m • We moved the JV 1600m to Saturday morning to get us out earlier on Friday night. • We kept the JV and Varsity field event the same Showcase Events • The ever popular showcase 100m (prelims on Friday), with the 48 fastest times getting an entry, (some schools will have more than 2 entries, other schools will not get an entry), 16 advance to a 2 heat final on Saturday • The 1600m Showcase on Saturday with the 48 fastest times getting an entry (some schools will have more multiple entries other schools will not get an entry) Sprint Relays and Open Events • 3 Showcase field events: o Pole Vault- Boys & Girls up to 4 entries, o High Jump – Boys & Girls – more entries is all have already jumped a height, o Shot Put- Boys & Girls – more entries is all have already throw a distance Top Notch Facilities keep getting better: • We added 1more jump runway (now 3 runways) and 1 more Pole Vault runway (now 2). That means more places to compete and to warm-up. • We still have 2 high jump pits, 2 discuss areas, and 2 shot areas. Coaches • You get to coach your athletes and do NOT have work the meet; our trained volunteers will take care of the meet • You get results quickly; on the HD Jumbo Scorecard and live on the internet from Perfect Timing after each heat • You can enjoy the hospitality area under the pavilion- homemade food with track side seats Awards • JV: Top 3 individuals and relay teams get medals • Varsity: top 5 individuals and relay teams get medals • Varsity Team Trophies: top 4 boys teams and top 4 girls teams
