The 2026 GHSA State Track & Field Championships are in the books and, as always, the Georgia athletes competed well. There's absolutely no way to highlight every single accomplishment with 8 classifications over the course of 18 events. That's a total of 288 champions as well as 16 team champions. Instead of full recaps of everything, I'm going to focus on 10 highlights from the meet that stood out in my mind as the biggest moments, races, performances, or combination of the above as the best storylines from the meet. I like to do top 10 lists and countdowns so that's the format I'm sticking with. Here is what I noticed this week as what stands out to me from the state meet after it's first year at UGA.
