The course is flat the first mile, shortly into mile two begins the half-mile “Mountain” trail section, at the peak the trail loops back around with a half-mile downhill and retraces itself making the third mile the race to the long 300 meter straightaway finish. Individually the race shapes up to be a rematch with North Hall’s Cody Barger and West Hall’s Josh Pendley who have raced 4 times this season with Barger being the victor in all 4. Trevor Grant who has been consistently near the sub-16 mark all year. On the girls side we will get to see the North Hall duo of Ansley Lawson and Victoria Rogers, consistently in the 19’s battle Allie Schaich of Lambert who looks to be the favorite, followed closely by the outstanding freshman from West Hall Savannah Smith just off a new school record of 19:03. This meet also features 11 of the 13 schools from Region 8-AAA that will give us a good preview of challengers for the 4 state qualifying teams, only missing Monroe and Walnut Grove.
