The Brooks XC South Championship is quickly approaching. Slated for November 29th at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, North Carolina, the top runners in the South will clash for a coveted regional championship title and a qualifying spot at the Brooks XC National Championships in San Diego on December 13th.
The South Regional Championship has taken place since 1979 and been at it's current home of McAlpine Park in Charlotte, NC since 1982. From 1979-2003 the top 8 finishers would qualifying to compete at Nationals in Orlando or San Diego where it is currently hosted. From 2004 on 10 athletes have advanced to the national meet.
