I love Carrollton so much. It's hands down my favorite course in the state, at least in terms of where I'd want the state championship to be. It's spectator friendly, it's great for coaches (who are willing to run at least a little bit), it's got tough hills, the city does a great job hosting us, and it requires you to think through your race some. The speedway courses that are RunningLane, Asics, and Coach Wood all have their place in this sport, so don't get me wrong I enjoy them too. But Carrollton is a near perfect state meet course. I know some people have minor complaints, but they're just being picky and would probably find a way to complain about some other course too. Nobody is perfect, so there are probably ways to slightly improve the experience overall. But in terms of a course that gives us a crazy amount of excitement while also leading to epic team and individual races? There is not a course in the state that could do it better, in my opinion.
