SSU Men Third At Georgia Southern Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga.- The Savannah State men's track team placed third in the Georgia Southern Invitational with 64.50 points.

Albany State won the meet with 170 points and Clark Atlanta finished second with 166.50 points

Tyrone McCoy and Brandon Norman had first place finishes for SSU.

McCoy, a Statesboro native, won the 800m race with a time of 1:57.10 while Norman captured the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.57.

Etchien Assinzo was second in the 800m race (1:57.85) as was Quentre Shannon who competed in the 110m hurdles (15.89.

Third place finishers were Chaz Price, Gabriel Davis, Ruben Isreal-McBee and Kendall Woumnm.

Price had a time of 22.97 in the 200m , Davis ran the 400m in 50.73, Isreal-McBee had a time of 4:17.25 in the 1500m and Woumnm had a leap of 5.63m in the long jump.
