Kent-Meridian Invitational:  Derek Eager, Tahoma WA, unleashed a monster jav throw for a big US#1 mark of 218-7.  Derek also won the discus with a toss of 175-3 and the shot in 53-5.

 

 

North Dakota Indoor State Champs:  Laura Roesler, Fargo South ND, won the 400 in a blazing 54.31 for US#3 and the 200 in 24.71.  

 

 

Gwinnett County Championships:  Tyler Anyan, Brookwood GA, scorched a solo 3200 meter run to record a US#1 time and the first sub-9 clocking of 8:57.73!  Taren White, Grayson GA, blazed a US#3 400 in 54.84 and also won the 200 in 24.45.  Nicky Akande Collins Hill GA, had a nice double with a 2:14.23 800 and a 5:12.62 for 1600. 

 

 

Cobb County T&F Championships:  Kendell Williams, Kell GA, rolled to a pair of US#1's with a 13.57 in the 100 hurdles and a 42.43 in the 300 hurdles.  Michael Newton, Sprayberry GA, won the 400 meter dash with a US#3 time of 47.72 with Alexander Reese, Lassiter GA, in tow with a US#6 47.86.  Henry Stevens-Carty, Allatoona GA, cruised to a US#3 800 meter win with a time of 1:52.44. 

 

 

Morgan State University Classic:  Adenike Pedro, Elizabeth Seton MD, leapt her way to US#1 in the long jump with a mark of 19-7.25.  Alexis Franklin, Old Mill MD, set a US#3 mark in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.86.  

 

 

Tarpon Invitational:  Charlotte FL won the boys 4x800 with a US#1 time of 7:47.21 to record the first outdoor sub-7:50 time of the season.

 

 

Edmond Memorial Invite:  NIN Pentathlon Champ Gunnar Nixon, Santa Fe OK, opened his outdoor season this weekend with a 7-0 in the high jump and a 14.31 clocking for the 110 hurdles. 

 

 

Klein Relays:  The Woodlands TX won the girls 4x400 with a US#4 time of 3:47.97.  Aliese Hyde, Killeen Harker Heights TX, rolled to victory in the 800 with a US#3 time of 2:12.08.  

  

Victor Lopez Classic:  Smoking in Texas, Kingwood Park TX rolls to a US#1 3:14.49 4x400 against some stiff competition.  Fort Bend Willowridge TX was 2nd in 3:15.39 and Galena Park Northshore TX was 3rd in 3:15.66.  Sheroid Evans, Fort Bend Dulles TX, doubled up in the 100 (10:49) and 200 (20.76).  Houston Lamar TX girls won the girls 4x400 with a swift 3:44.14 to narrowly beat Houston Westbury TX, 3:45:04.  Houston Westbury won the 4x100 with a US#2 time of 46.42.  Blessing Mayungbe, Houston Lamar TX, won the 400 in a US#2 time of 54.63.

 

 

Jesuit-Sheaner Relays:  Chelsey Sveinsson, Greenhill TX, rolled to victory in the 1600 meter run with a big US#1 mark of 4:45.24!  Prezel Hardy, Killeen Ellison TX, won the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.45.  Killeen Ellison TX, also went US#1 in the 4x100 with a time of 40.66 and won the 4x200 with a 1:26.34 (Ellison is US#1 with a 1:25.34).  Clinton Collins, Keller Fossil Ridge TX, rolled to a US#1 in the 400 meter dash with a time of 47.30.  

 


All State Sugar Bowl T&F Classic:  Merritt Van Meter, Country Day LA, won the pole vault with a mark of 13-00.  Cory McGee, Pass Christian MS, won the 800 meter run with a US#2 time of 2:10.04.

 

 

LSU Tiger Relays:  Annie Simoneaux, Rayne LA, won the javelin with a US#2 toss of 148-11.  

 

 

Quince Orchard Cougar Relays:  Walter Johnson MD ran a solid pair of relays with a US#7 4x800 in 7:56.20 and a US#10 DMR of 10:29.60. 

 

 

Spartan Relay Invitational:  Keni Harrison, Clayton NC, won the 300 meter hurdles with a blazing fast time of 42.67 for US#1.  

 

 

Gateway Conference Championship:  Ryan Lankford, Paxon FL, won the long jump with a leap of 25-1, a US#1 mark and a PR.  He also ran 10:56 in the 100 prelims. 

 

 

IAAF World XC Championships:  Emily Sisson, MO, topped the USA participants in the girls junior race with an impressive 18th place finish in a time of 20:08.  Walter Schafer, CO, was 44th in the boys junior race with a time of 24:17 while Ammar Moussa, CA, was 66th in 25:00.

 

 

APU/Arroyo MOC Distance Classic:  Chloe Curtis, Redondo Union CA, won the girls 800 with a blistering US#1 time of 2:09.07.  Curtis also won the 3200 with a time of 10:31.24.  Sean Krinik, Valencia CA, won the boys 800 with a very fast 1:50.16 for US#1 over Greg Dotson, Burbank CA, who was on his heels with a 1:50.49 for US#2.  Pablo Rosales, San Pedro CA, won the boys 3200 with a US#1 time of 9:00.29.  Drew Dalton, Vista Murrieta CA, and Matt McElroy, Edison CA, were 2nd and 3rd with time of 9:05.57 and 9:05.80.  Lyndsey Mull, Redondo Union, won the girls 1600 from heat 2 with a time of 4:53.49.

 

 

Battlefield Relays:  Blacksburg VA won the girls DMR with a US#1 time of 12:02.77.

Danny Curran Invitational:  Marielle Hall, Haddonfield NJ, won the 1500 meter run against collegians to take US#1 with a time of 4:36.14. 

 

 

Mike Spain Invitational:  James Harris, Lanett AL, cleared 7-3 in the high jump today for US#1, and a huge PR by 5 inches! AlabamaRunners article

 

 

SCTCCCA Coaches Classic:  Sandi Morris, Greenville SC, won the pole vault with a 12-8 mark that would have broken the state record, but has to be done at the state meet.  Briana Nelson, J.L. Mann SC, won the 400 meter dash with a US#4 time of 55.67.  Video of Morris' vault

 

 

Stanford Invitational:  Justin Vilhauer, Redwood CA, won a smoking 3k with a time of 8:17.37.  Reesey Beyers, Santa Rosa CA, was 2nd in 8:19.81 and Erik Olson, Novato CA, was 3rd with a time of 8:20.17.  Monte Corley, James Logan CA, won the 400 meter hurdles with a US#1 time of 54.12.  San Ramon CA won the 4x800 with a US#1 time of 7:51.79.  Brooke Holt, CA, won the girls 3000 meter run with a US#1 time of 10:06.88.  Trinity Wilson, CA, ran a 13.93 in the prelims of the 100 hurdles for a US#2 mark.  Jeremy Hines, Jesuit CA, won the shot put with a US#2 mark of 63-9.75.  Ashton Purvis, CA, won the girls 100 meter dash with a US#2 mark of 11.50.  Iesha Hardiman, CA, ran a US#3 mark in the girls 400 meter dash of 55.54.  Alexandria Whitmore, Fairfield CA, won the 300 hurdles with a US#1 time of 1:02.41 while Thandi Stewart, James Logan CA, was 2nd with a US#2 time of 1:02.49.

 

 

FSU Relays:  Mario Hooks, Melbourne FL, won the high jump with a US#3 mark of 6-10.25.  Pablo Alvarez, Belen Jesuit Prep FL, won the 110 hurdles with a US#3 time of 13.84.  Fort Walton Beach FL, went 3:17.15 for the 4x400 relay to take the US#3 spot.  Matt Bevil, Fort Walton Beach FL, won the 800 meter run with a US#6 1:53.94.  Matt Mizereck nipped Colin Barker at the line in a thrilling 3200 meter dual with times of 9:02.87 to 9:03.03!  6 guys were under 9:10 and 10 were under 9:20.  FLRunners.com coverage here.

 

 

Raleigh Relays HS 3200m Invite:  Wesley Frazier, Ravenscroft NC, dominated the girls 3200 meter run with a winning time of 10:22.76.  Three more were under 10:40.  In the boys race four runners were under the old meet record.  Isaac Presson, Asheville NC, won with a blazing 9:00.87!  Blake Williams, Northern Durham NC, was 2nd in 9:04.36 and Colin Mearns, Jamestown VA, was 3rd in 9:05.03.  Nine boys were under 9:20.  Boys Race Video | Girls Race Video | Presson Video Interview | NCRunners article


 

Chandler Rotary: | AZTrackXC.com  Senior Emily LaValley (pictured right)  from Classical Academy, CO won the Mile in 4:57.58.  LaValley caught freshman Sarah Fakler (Xavier, AZ) at the 1600 mark.  Fakler finished with 4:47.83.  This was LaValley's first time running the mile in competition.  She came into the race with a 2:14 800 meter.  Alex Herring (Sr., Albuquerque Academy, NM pictured below) won the mile in a US#1 4:12.33. Herring gave a final push at the 300 mark to move from 4th place into 2nd and finally passing Steve Magnuson (Sr., Ironwood Ridge) just before the 1600 mark.  Magnuson finished in 4:13.93.  Herring was later named the Male Track Athlete of the Meet.

The afternoon winds had an impact on the boys Pole Vaulting but Riley Crosby (Sr., Centennial) was able to clear 15-6 earning him the Boys Field Athlete of the Meet.   

Shaylah Simpson (Sr., Desert Vista) became the Female  Field Athlete of the meet after breaking the meet record and winning the event four straight years.  Simpson cleared 13-00 for the second time in a week and a US#3.   Jade Stepter (SO, Canyon del Oro) was named the Female Track Athlete of the Meet after she won the 300 hurdles with a meet record and a US#5 43.79.  The boys 300 hurdles meet record also fell as Harry Danilevics (Sr., Brophy) won the event with a 37.94.  The previous record was held by Aqua Fria's Cedrique Smith (37.98) who also holds the 300 hurdles State Record (37.01)    Results   Photos

 

 

Asics Mt. Carmel Invite: | calrunners.com preview!   Megan Morgan (Sr., Torrey Pines) won the 3200 meter run in 10:30.05 for a US#2 while teammate Alli Billmeyer (Jr.) won the 1600 in 4:50.10 for a US#1Elias Gedyon, Loyola CA, won the 1600 meter run with a swift 4:12.15.  Loyola CA also ripped through the DMR with a US#1 time of 10:12.93.  Rio Mesa CA won the 4x400 with a 3:17.90 and the 4x100 as well in 41.64.  Kortney Ross, Westview CA, won the pole vault with a US#2 leap of 13-2.    Results

 

 

Altoona Igloo Invitational:  Brady Gehret, Altoona PA, went US#7 48.43 and US#10 21.57 to open his outdoor season with a pair of meet record.

 

 

Tri Meet - Mater Dei, Rosary, Servite:    Consistency is another name for Michael Woespe (Sr., Mater Dei) as he does it again........hitting a 17'0 Pole Vault mark.
