Meet of Champions Committee

Now that Coach Wood and the 1st weekend of region meets have passed, the Georgia Cross Country Meet of Champions Committee has been busy finalizing the final few invitations to teams and top individuals in the state (top-25 that are NOT on any of the invited teams) and those invites were sent out today!

Boys' teams: Alexander, Blessed Trinity, Brookwood, Carrollton, Chestatee, Decatur, Denmark, East Coweta, Etowah, Harrison, Lakeside Evans, Lambert, Marietta, Marist, Mill Creek, Pace, Pope, Richmond Hill, Roswell, Sequoyah, South Effingham, St. Pius X, Starr's Mill, Walton, West Forsyth, Westminster, Whitefield Academy

Girls' teams:  Alexander, Blessed Trinity, Cambridge, Decatur, Denmark, Etowah, Harrison, Hillgrove, Lakeside DeKalb, Lambert, Marietta, Marist, McIntosh, Midtown, Milton, North Atlanta, North Gwinnett, North Hall, Pace, Parkview, Pope, Roswell, South Forsyth, St. Pius X, Westminster, Woodland

As previously, there are more teams and individuals on the WATCH list.  

The MOC Committee will send out additional invites on the Sunday after the State Meet, November 7th.

Meet of Champions Event Details

Location: OneChurch (formerly known as Heritage Christian Church XC Course), Peachtree City/Fayetteville

Who: 

Top 25 individuals who are not on the top teams (by invitation only) 

Top 25 teams (7 runners only and by invitation only) 

You can enter 7 athletes from your state meet 12-person roster 

Reminder, you compete as a club team (Not as a school since, this is a non GHSA event)

Awards:  • Top 20 individuals and top 3 teams

Special MOC gear/ shirt: all invited athletes who run in the meet will receive a shirt

USATF- GA State Association Meet starts at ~ 12 Noon, with races every 30 minutes
